About Us

The Malaysian International Student & Alumni, in short, MISA is a government supported website that helps bring all international undergraduates and graduates who have studied or are still studying in Malaysia together. MISA also assists the Malaysia Education Promotion Centre (MEPC) of the Ministry of Higher Education to connect all foreign and international student graduates who have studied in Malaysia via this website.

In view of that, the Malaysia International Student & Alumni Website (www.misa.studymalaysia.com was launched in conjunction with the inaugural International Students' Night 2006 on 23 August 2006 at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The event was organised by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia.

MISA endeavours to provide valuable information about Malaysia, especially in the education world to any interested party in the region as well as from the global circuit. It will also serve as an entry point to other Alumni Websites of individual institutions.

Mission
To provide a portal where international students who have studied in Malaysia (current and past) can interact with each other as well as be up-dated on what's happening in the education world and other industries in Malaysia.

Vision

To promote Malaysia to the regional as well as international arena by providing a network for international students who have studied or are still studying in Malaysia; and

To create a life community for alumni of institutions of higher learning to collaborate with each other

Objectives
The main objectives of MISA are:

to provide an alumni portal where former and current international students from around the world can be updated on what's happening in Malaysia
to provide an alumni portal where current international students can be more acquainted with beautiful Malaysia
to provide a network system whereby all international students can keep in touch with their classmates even when they have returned to their home countries

A: No. MISA provides FREE membership to every alumni member who is interested to join. Membership is also free for life.

Q: Who can join MISA?
A. Any international undergraduate or graduate student who has studied or is still studying in Malaysia can join MISA.
